Who are we?
We are a group of teenagers and young adults working through the Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF) to fundraise and spread awareness for Pediatric Cancer.
What are we doing this summer?
We, as a team, are looking to spend our summer networking and building connections to better spread awareness for pediatric cancer. We also will be learning about how a nonprofit works, participating in ISF-led events, and creating media.
Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF)
It was Isabella’s dream to Beat Cancer, Grow Hair, and Live Her Dreams. Although research and advanced treatments didn’t come in time for her dreams to come true, her legacy is pushing us to give others a fighting chance against rare pediatric cancer.
The Isabella Santos Foundation, ISF, is dedicated to improving rare pediatric cancer treatment options in an effort to increase the survival rates of kids with cancer.
Over the course of thirteen years, ISF has funded nearly $6 million toward expanding the scope of research and treatment and supporting families dealing with cancer in a variety of ways.

The Team
Hello everyone! My name is Jack Hyland, and I am the team leader of the Cancer Cavaliers this summer! I have a huge interest in science, specifically biology, and am super excited to get to work with ISF and learn about the other side of a nonprofit.

Our Mission
All of those involved in pediatric cancer, especially those diagnosed, embody the characteristics of a true cavalier. These people are strong, courageous, determined, and adventurous. We want to honor Isabella, ISF, and all of those involved in the fight against pediatric cancer with our team name: Cancer Cavaliers, a spin on the medieval horseback fighters and the ongoing search for a cure.
